The Lancashire FA’s Senior Challenge Cup is one of the oldest tournaments in English football.  This is the first complete account of its history and statistics to be published.  The first winners were Darwen FC; other well-known names to have won the trophy include Blackburn Rovers, Bolton Wanderers and Manchester United.

There is a full account of each season’s competition and the results and dates of every game.  The team line-ups for the final are included.  There is an index to all the clubs that have taken part; in addition to the well-known senior clubs in Lancashire you will also find the results of less famous ones such as Cherry Tree, Gillibrand Rangers, Myrtle Grove and many others.

The foreword is by David Burgess, Chief Executive of the Lancashire FA.  The book is published under my SoccerData imprint on behalf of the Lancashire FA.

The book is illustrated with team groups, programme covers and other items from the competition.

Copies of the book are available from retail outlets in Lancashire and by mail order from me, Tony Brown, at the address above.  If ordering by post, please add £2 for postage and packing.

Sample pages: you will need the Adobe Reader add-on to see the pages - it is a free download from the Adobe web site.
